Miscellaneous Monday; THE NEW BLOG

Howdy, everyone! Yes, this title is correct. Yes, this blog is fairly new. It just isn't as much as I hoped it would be. I can't write short stories fast enough, plus lots of other reasons. My new blog is on Wordpress. Blogger is just harder to use and Wordpress has better reviews. Here it is...

Laughs and literature

Alas, it is time to say goodbye to this blog. I may leave it up and keep an eye on it for a while, but it may go away eventually.

So, goodbye Annie's Anything!

Be sure to go follow the new one!

Typed-Up Thursday; an "Essay" on Favorite Foods

Hey, sorry this is late. Today, I'll talk about food. Not just any food, but my favorite food. Hopefully it will give you ideas for your next dinner party, lunch, breakfast, desert....

so here we go...

Breakfast: Waffles, Crepes, pancakes (the good kind, homemade), and cereal, which is very rare for me. Very rare.

lunch: Turkey sandwiches, pasta, smoothie bowl, and POPCORN and smoothie!! don't mix the last two together, though. blech.

Dinner: Anything with mashed potatoes,  Chicken and rice, and macaroni with peas mixed in. trust me, it's good.

Desert: This one's hard. brownies, ice cream, brownie ice cream, chocolate chip brownies, chocolate chip cookies, cookiedough ice cream...

Yep, that's about it.

If you have the same tastes as me, Great! if not, that's sad.

QUICK QUIZ: what is the weirdest food you have ever tried?

That's all for now!

Miscellaneous Monday; The Problem With Good Ideas (For Me At Least)

 Howdy, everyone!

Sadly, summer is nearly over 😢 But at least that means it is closer to hot cocoa, sweaters, holidays, leaf piles, and SNOW.... eventually. 131 days until Christmas, too. Scary, right? This year went fast.

Anywho, this is supposed to be about ideas. Good ones. AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM! Whenever I get a good idea for a book/story, I start on it. When I am a little way into it, I get another "better" idea that I want to start on! That is why I have trouble even finishing stories. As you know, the story I am working on involves orphans and a shipwreck. But this morning, I got another idea that is "better" than the one I am working on. Does anyone else have that problem? If so, do you have a solution? I was thinking choose 2 of my favorite ideas to work on and write the others down for later.

Well, that is all for now!

Typed-Up Thursday; Captive Treasure Book Review

 Book review number 2!

Title: Captive Treasure

Author: Milly Howard

Story: Christian, Family, Adventure

Rating: 5 out of 5

Writing Style: 5 out of 5

This is a wonderful Christian book about a girl who is taken by Indians. The one thing she had when captured was the family Bible. The Indians think she is the daughter of the sun, because of her "Medicine Bundle"- the Bible. Even though he doesn't understand what she is saying, the tribe's elder loves listening to the girl read from the Good Book. This book is an easy read, perfect for around ages 8-12, depending on reading skills.

Miscellaneous Monday: LEGO Narnia!

Remember when I said that I love LEGOs? Well, it's true. They are the best. So, I decided to share one of my creations; NARNIA! (Forgive the terrible photos)

Top view of the dragon/water/dance. The lady with a flower in her hair is the queen. She is dancing with the king.

Preparing the feast with the help of Good Giant Rumblebuffin.

The guy with the flute standing under the dragon is supposed to be a dryad ;)

If you like LEGOs, tell me in the comments! It's nice to find other lego-lovers.

TTFN, ta ta for now,

Annie

Update... Again.

Anyone else think LEGOs shouldn’t just be for kids? I personally love thinking up something to make and then building it. My most recent project was a Narnia scene, which I might post later. For now, I really need a post schedule. Here is my (temporary) schedule...

Miscellaneous Monday: on Monday’s I will have the random posts, including updates and LEGO creations.

Typed-up Thursday: on Thursday I will post writings, such as book reviews and stories.

If you have any more ideas, please feel free to leave them in the comments!!!

I may also make a list of good books that I enjoy.

Anywho, that’s about all I have for now.

See you next time!

The Pearl Book Review

 Hello again!

I promised you a short story, but I couldn't wait to do this, so we will have to do that later. Behold; The first-ever Anne Ashwood BOOK REVIEW!

Title: The Pearl

Author: John Steinbeck

Rating: 2.5 out of 5

The rating may sound harsh, but it is pretty dark. There are murders, with vivid descriptions, lots of violence, and greed-crazed characters. Not recommended for people with vivid imaginations or people with arachnophobia The worst part: in the last chapter there is something horribly sad, which has to do with the death of a baby. One of the only good things I could draw from it is that the main character, Kino, loves his family and would do anything for them. Overall, I would say NOT for under 12 or 13 even.

Recap

Story: Death, Blood, violence, Family,

Writing Style: 4.5 out of 5. The only thing that bothers me in this category is he starts a lot of sentences with "and".

Opinions Wanted!

Howdy! I am trying to make my blog nicer, so I am testing out different styles, backgrounds, and all that. If I try something that you don’t like, leave a comment. If you see something you ADORE, again, leave a comment. Suggestions are also welcome😉

I am very sorry if I haven’t posted as often as I had when I started, our computer keeps breaking down😱

Anyways, the next story I will (hopefully) post is the SEQUEL to “The Two Artists”...It is funnier than the first, but there is a part that I think is a bit cheesy, but that’s probably because I wrote it😉

That’s all for now,

Annie.

An Update..... And Something Random

 Howdy!

I have written another story about Elaine and Michael (The Two Artists) and I plan to post it soon.... I just need to type it up😉  When my mom read it, certain parts made her laugh, which is a good sign. Of course, there is one spot that is a little...... dramatic. All my proofreaders thought it was good, but when I read it, I think it sounds kind of silly. But, that is probably just because I wrote it.

So, you can be expecting that one, plus I am almost done with a longer short story that I wrote for school, which will be posted (Hopefully) after the sequel to The Two Artists.

I also wanted to share this VERY random but VERY impressive Guinness World Record holding cow.

Amazing, right?

Well, that's all for now; stay tuned for more random and crazy things!

Annie

P.S. If you know anyone who might enjoy reading stories and other things, feel free to share the link to this blog!
